Your buddy has a car accident and ends up in surgery – which goes well given the ruptured splein, punctured lung and haemothorax. The doctor surgeon comes out afterwards and says that your mate is stable but that they did “loose a lot of blood in surgery”.
A thought then crosses your mind… “While car accidents are know to cause amnesia, is the accidental misplacement of several pints of red goo really part of that amnesia?”
You can imagine the conversation with the patient when they regain consciousness. “lost you say, during surgery you say…” Are they really gonna believe the doctor surgeon when he tells them that they are gonna be o.k. if he cannot tell that the red stuff pouring out of them was your blood and that he knew where it went really.
