Does god have a belly button?

Well, I did quite a bit of research on this… well, I spoke to a catholic, and the answer is yes.

There are 3 justifications for this.

The bible says so

God made man in his own image. Man has a belly button, therefore god has one.

The holy trinity argument

The father, the son and the holy spirit are interchangeable and are the same thing when required. Jesus (The son bit) was born of Mary and therefore has a belly button. The father is the same as the son, ergo the father has a belly button.

Intelligent design says so

If you look at the belly button (and umbilical cord) as a functional component, then it is in a really stupid place. The best place to stick the umbilical cord would be close to the heart, and on the chest – a third nipple so to speak. So, what must have happened is that god thought to himself, “ok, all the other holes and orifices are taken, what about this useless bump in the middle of my belly? Hmm.. lets stick it there”

What about Adam and Eve?

Well, since we have now established that god had a belly button, then so did Adam and I guess Eve. A more interesting question though… Eve was made from one of Adam’s “Spare ribs”… So, Amniotic fluid, or basting sauce?

  • I think we need to address this in the 4th book in his “trilogy” (hmmm thats only 3 books), generally he is quite a slow author writing his books of Abrahams, but perhaps we can add it as a suggestion to the next “co-author” he selects… I say the Dr Deviant should be the next Saint to write the next book.

  • If we are talking about the works of god, then there is one volume of 5 books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) dictated to Moses (possibly because god was tired after building humanity) These formed the Pentateuch or Torah, one of the books recognised in, but not translated into the Koran (Qur’an).

Technically translated into the first part of the Old Testament, and followed up with the New Testament it seems we may have space for a trilogy… if you don’t count Monty Pythons life of Brian :)
