The fact you don't have time to eat properly, well that's a choice. The fact you can't be bothered to eat properly, again, a choice. but you cannot tax all food as a luxury because in it's basic form it is a requirement. And you can argue that actually there is a punitive tax on food. You can buy 'tescos own brand' but you <b>choose</b> to buy Heinz at 20 times the cost. You can also take this a step further and say that if price includes tax above the actual cost of the item, then you can grow your own potatoes, hatch your own chickens and live on chicken and chips for £2.50 per year. So actually there are choices that reduce punitive style taxing. Get round the governments stranglehold on your fags... grow your own tobacco plants! Or smoke Gitanes... you can make these at home from napkins and car tyres!! :) You can buy your fags in Asda!

Choice is the backbone of any democracy. The problem I have is that both smoking and drinking are punitively taxed and food isn't. Why should I have to go to Belgium for my fags when big-boners can get their food from Asda's round the corner? It could be worse, I could be a smoker and a drinker and a burger lover.
