Despite the truth as laid out in all the hollywood war movies, it was the hard work and dedication of the BRITISH that got the covert war won. The Americans helped out a little later but it was the BRITISH that invented the computer, and the BRITISH brains that started the code breaking effort at Bletchley Park. If it wasn’t for the men and women at this amazing site the British would all be speaking Aryan right now.

The Americans borded a Nazi u-boat and stole the cipher keys for the naval enigma and then won the war.
While if you paraphrase the facts you can get the above story, the fuller story is a little bit different.
The Americans (based on BRITISH inteligence) borded a Nazi u-boat (along with BRITISH troops) and stole (amongst other papers since they didn’t really know what they were looking for) the cipher keys for the naval enigma code and then (sent them back to Bletchley Park to the BRITISH who actually) won the war (with a little help from various nations INCLUDING the yanks who are still screwing us over loans made in a time of need and who could’t be arsed to join the war until it impacted them).

Buddy, you forget who it was that bailed you out of World War II – show some respect. Bletchley Park does have a definate British bias but it does show the US involvement accurately!!
