Inspired by a previous post randy elephants, I was asked a question off the cuff.

And so the Swaziland tour is under way. It’s an interesting country ruled by a monarchy but with an alleged representative government chosen by the people.

In a country that is notoriously bent, slow and inefficient, being an honest citizen can get you into a whole load of crap.

So we spent a weekend in Kruger, well actually Ngwenya Lodge on Crocodile River (Ngwenya means crocodile in Siswati – the language of Swaziland). The lodge was quite nice and right on the river. Sunday morning at 4am, the “Damn kids knocking on all the doors” turned out to be the game ranger informing us that and the crackling noise we could hear was actually the hotels thatched roof on fire.
