Man has always wondered about fire, and while it is very enthralling it has generally caused a lot of issues. A recent personal event aside, i am worries that “fire” may be following us. Over the last couple of days the “burg” wind has been blowing quite hard. This wind generally raises temperatures, and at this time of the year there are a lot of fires to clear farm land. (more…)

In the jungle…. a wimba way!
So we spent a weekend in Kruger, well actually Ngwenya Lodge on Crocodile River (Ngwenya means crocodile in Siswati - the language of Swaziland). The lodge was quite nice and right on the river. During our stay we saw rhino, elephant and various types of buck up close. the park though has become heavily commercialised. (more…)

Sunday morning at 4am, the “Damn kids knocking on all the doors” turned out to be the game ranger informing us that and the crackling noise we could hear was actually the hotels thatched roof on fire. (more…)
